I have benefited tremendously through my work with Julie both professionally and personally. I started coaching with Julie thinking that we would focus entirely on my career objectives and that Julie would help me do everything humanly possible to obtain the professional goal that I had set for myself and for which I initially sought a coach to help me.
We have focused a lot of my career goals, but Julie helped me step back from the challenges I was facing at work to look at my life as a whole and to critically analyze my priorities professionally and personally to determine how my actions on a day to day basis are leading me to ALL of my life goals (not just in my work). This was difficult work because I realized that placing so much weight on my career objectives was overshadowing my personal values and making me pretty miserable.
Through this process, Julie helped me see my greatest qualities and that I was undervaluing myself by putting all my eggs in my work basket and organization. She helped me see the contributions I bring in all aspects of my
And by shifting my priorities somewhat – being more balanced and taking better care of myself and my personal goals – I have greater confidence at work, including in the many difficult conversations I have had.
By working with Julie, I have taken some of the pressure off of myself, and accepted that I deserve to reach my promotion goals and that I do not need to constantly try to prove what has already been proven. Little by little, I am creating time and mental space in my life to prioritize self care and my personal relationships.
At the same time, Julie has helped me strategize those difficult work conversations and dynamics, without compromising my personal objectives.
I highly recommend working with Julie if you want to take stock of your personal and professional life. Julie is incredibly empathetic and walks the fine line of listening while still advocating for you where appropriate. Plus, she is an absolute pleasure to talk to because she is highly intelligent, funny, relatable and cuts through the noise to help objectively assess situations for what they are. Julie is the best!
